Research Class

I'm in a research class. I know nothing about research. I am stuck researching how to do research... damn. Methodology, quantitative, qualitative, statistics, ugh, just writing it puts me to sleep. I need to research something really interesting to me, something that will mean something when it is complete, or it isn't worth my time. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right. Right?
